FACTS :
1. My first contact with English was when I was 8 months. My parents took me on a mountain trip and I slept in the same tent with some girls that were studying English. It may sound silly but it has been a continuing love-affair. :laugh:
2.I was named after my parents: Maria-Valeria ( Maria after my mother, Valeria after my father,Valeriu) at my godfathers suggestion. They wanted to call me Madelina (Madalina in Romanian). I rather don't feel that I look like a Madeline.
3. I have a sister , 15 years my elder, from a previous marriage of my father. And we actually get along..
4.For the first 10 years of my life I had straight hair, now it's curly . My parents tricked me into cutting it very very very very short and afterwards it went curly..don't ask why.
5.I've been friends with since we were children. And neither of us remembers the moment we met. But we have at least 12 years of friendship.
6. I have a slight mathematical talent and a curiosity for biology but in the end I chose English as the core of my future profession. Even though my father wasn't thrilled about my decision he let me be. Though it is sometimes a subject of quarrel between us.
7. I believe in etiquette and cannot pardon the lack of manners in those who pretend to have a certain degree of intelligence . Though I try not to be narrow-minded.
8. I love coffee. It has no practical effect on me. And don't get me wrong, i drink it strong with no sugar and rarely milk.
